You may download your audio book in parts or as a whole, by going to the Download page, and selecting the parts that you wish to download

You do not need to come to The Library to either select or return a digital audio book. Everything is done from a remote computer.

  1. How long may I check out my digital audio books

The loan period is 2 weeks. When the loan period is over the file expires and the material is automatically checked back in.

  1. May I put digital audio books on hold?

  You may put Items on reserve. When the requested title is available you will be sent an e-mail . You will have three days to download your reserved audio book, otherwise it will go to the next customer waiting for it.

You can check-out up to three digital audio books at one time.

  1. Can I download digital audio books to my IPOD or Mac Computer

No.  ListenNJ is not compatible with Apple products, including Mac computers and IPODs.  Unfortunately, Apple Products do not currently support copyright protected Windows Media Audio (WMA) files

  1. When I try to check out my digital audio books, it asks me for my PIN.  How do I find out what my PIN is?

Your PIN was issued to you either when the library changed its system in May 2005, or when you registered.  Your PIN gives you access to reserve materials and renew your items online through IBistro, Somerville's Online Catalog.  For more information about IBistro, Click HERE.  You may contact the library at (908) 725-1336, to have a staff member give you your PIN over the telephone.  You may also send e-mail to somref@lmxac.org, and a librarian will send you your PIN via e-mail.
