In addition to offering the public access to free print and audiovisual material, the library offers additional convenient services to meet the growing needs of the public.

Computers are located in the Adult Room, outside of the YA Room, in the Reference Room and in the Children's Room for access to the Internet, including the library catalog, and subscription databases.
Word processing is also available on all of these computers. Computers in the Reference Room, outside of the YA Room and in the Children's Room are running on a Windows XP operating system. Computers in the Adult Room are running on a Windows 7 operating system. Microsoft Office 2010 is available for word processing on computers in the Adult Room. Microsoft Office 2002 is available for word processing on computers in the Reference Room, outside of the YA Room and in the Children's Room. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access is accessible in both versions of Microsoft Office. Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer are on each machine as web browsers. Adobe Reader 9 is also on every computer.
Please note that all computers except for the Children's Room computers have access to both black and white printing and color printing. The Children's Room computers only have access to black and white printing at this time. Black and white printouts cost 10 cents per page, and color printouts cost 25 cents per page. The library now offers a self-service, public fax service through Fax24. Voice instructions from the handset guide the user effortlessly through the entire transaction. To enhance customer satisfaction, Fax24's toll-free customer service is accessible directly from the FAX24 kiosk. The Fax24 Fax Service accepts VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, and Discover credit and debit cards. Domestic faxes cost $1.50 for the first page, and $1.00 for each additional page. International faxes cost $4.95 for the first page, and $3.45 for each additional page.
The library has two photocopiers-one in the Main Lobby that copies both black and white and color, and one in the Reference Room that copies in black and white only. Letter sized copies are 10 cents a page for black and white copies, and 25 cents a page for color copies. Legal sized copies are 20 cents a page for black and white copies, and 50 cents a page for color copies. Double-sided printing is available on both machines.
As a public institution, the Sayreville Public Library is dedicated to free expression and free access to information and ideas on all points of view concerning the problems and issues of interest to the residents of Sayreville. To this end, the Library maintains meeting room(s) for library and community use. The meeting room(s) are available for meetings and programs open to the public that are sponsored by non-profit organizations and community interest groups and boards and agencies of the Library, Borough government and schools. Preference is given to Sayreville organizations, but regional groups are accommodated when there are no scheduled conflicts. During tax season, the library has a variety of Federal tax forms, instructions, and publications available in the Reference Room. State income tax forms are no longer provided to us but are available online to download. The library has compiled the most popular Federdal and State forms in binders at the Reference Desk. Patrons are welcome to make copies of the forms they need from these binders. Access to both Federal and State forms is also available online. Please see the information below.
