New Service at Roselle Public Library...

If it is color you want, then the Roselle Public Library can provide it now.  The Library recently upgraded its photocopier, and can now offer color copies.  The cost of B&W copies remains at ten cents, while the new color copies cost a quarter.  The copier is located in the stacks to right of the Circulation Desk, and new users should ask the library staff for assistance.

Roselle Friends to Hold Annual Book Sale...

It's time for the annual Friends of the Roselle Library Book Sale.  The place is the same:  the Roselle Public Library, at the corner of Chestnut Street and West Fourth Avenue . The date is Saturday May 17, and the time is 10 am to 2 pm. The coffee pot will be on, and the prices will be low.

In fact, this may be the last year we charge so little: fifty cents for hardcovers, twenty-five cents for paperbacks and children's books. Our shelves are full, but we can always take a few more books. Just remember:  they need to be in good condition (not torn, no smells), and no Reader's Digest Condensed Books. Also, we don't want any old encyclopedias or textbooks (that is, printed before 2000).

Roselle Library Board Meetings and Reorganization...

The Library Board reorganized in January.  Reelected as officers were:  Anthony Esposito, president;  Maureen Donnelly, vice-president;  Elaine Rittinger, secretary;  Eudora Winston, treasurer;  Sidney Stone, assistant treasurer.  Library Board meetings remain on the third Thursday of the month, but the start time has been moved to 7 pm.

Roselle Library to Celebrate Seventy Years and More...

This year will mark the seventieth anniversary of the opening of the
current library building. The Library is also celebrating the completion of almost $500,000 in renovations to the existing building. Plans for the expansion are on exhibit at the library.

Roselle Library Expansion Plans...

The Borough has appointed the architectual firm of  Vitetta to lead the planning phase of the expansion. “We are looking to hear from residents and library users of all ages about this vision of the future.” comments Director Keith McCoy, pointing out that the expansion plan would provide a “typical” public library for a community the size of Roselle.
