The Library has a half-price sale of new
copies of "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold and "When Washington Was in Vogue" by Edward C. Williams. Remember, Christmas
is right around the corner, so just ask for a
copy at the circulation desk. And, because the funds benefit the causes of the Friends of the
Roselle Public Library, we thank you!


Roselle Library to Add Public Service Hours...

Beginning September 12, the Roselle Public Library will stay open until 8 pm on Fridays, rather than close at 6 pm .  The Library's other evening hours are Monday through Wednesday until 8 pm , and Thursday until 6 pm. Full Story>

The next book sale will be in May 2009.  At the moment, we
are not accepting donations, while we clean out the leftovers
from the last sale.  Check back here to fine when we start
taking your used books again.

Roselle Library Offers Library Gift Certificates...

Ever want to treat your spouse to some classic movies?  Need
to make sure that the money you give your children goes for printing a report, and not for a bag of chips?  The Roselle Public Library has the answer for you. The Library is now offering gift certificates to its patrons.  Essentially pre-paid cards, the gift certificates can be used to rent DVDs and videos, pay for computer print-outs, or redeem for fines. Full Story>
 

Roselle Library Receives Gates Foundation Opportunity Online Grant...

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation announced today that the Roselle Public Library will be one of the public libraries in 11 states sharing $8.1 million in grants to improve and sustain
free, quality access to computers.

For the Roselle Library, the grant will mean the replacement of six public access computers and the addition of two additional computers.   Roselle 's grant is for $13,000 over two years, with
a local match of $7800 over the same period.  While the grant funds must be used for hardware, matching funds can cover such things as staff training and tech support.  Full Story>

If you are interested in New Jersey history, visit the Garden State Legacy website. A free subscription to this online quarterly magazine "dedicated to sharing the rich heritage and history of our state with the world" can be setup. A link to a high resolution printable PDF or a low resolution PDF for viewing online will be sent to your email.

Apply for a Passport at the Roselle Public Library...
