| The Red Bank Public Library's rain
garden is now a reality.
The garden, which is a demonstration project for an
environmentally sustainable design, using primarily native plants watered
by runoff from the building's gutters was developed as a demonstration
project. Library Board Members Brigid McCarthy and Audrey Oeldoerp
were instrumental in pulling this project together.
Our thanks go out to the following individuals,
organizations and companies:
- Kenton Seydell, CLM of Siciliano Landscape Company
who designed and constructed the rain garden.
- Kathleen Panepinto of the Navesink Garden Club who
designed the layout and selected the plants.
- Mozelle's Nursery
Also:
- Members of the Navesink Garden Club:
Avis
Anderson, Pam Sutton, Gotti Kelley, Irene Saputo who helped with planting.
- Volunteers:
Jim Crawford and Tim Blankley
- Red
Bank Residents: Michelle and William Ciganek
for their generous donation to the library garden fund.
