Just what the name implies. This database includes not only 400 world maps and 175 country maps, nine regional maps, and 50 state maps, but variations of each, i.e.,. political, precipitation, population and temperature maps. There are also antique maps, 761 historic city maps, fishing maps, earthquake maps, volcano and hurricane maps, geology and weather maps, NASA maps and images of the world’s flags.
Here you can find eyewitness accounts of historical events, descriptions of daily life during the Civil War, fashion plates from Godey's Ladies Book (1830-1898), and editorials from William Lloyd Garrison's abolitionist newspaper "The Liberator" (1831-1865).
