Homework Help

Kid Space @ The Internet Public Library
This site has EVERYTHING a kid wants and needs: homework help, games, and many, many, many online reference sources on just about every possible subject.  There are also resources for teachers and parents.

BJ Pinchbecks's Homework Helper @ DiscoverySchool.com
The Discovery School sponsors this great site which has over 700 kid-tested sites for homework help.
MCL Homework Center @ the Multnomah County Library
Get your homework done!  The Multnomah County in Oregon offers an extensive Homework Center online; the compilation of books lists for all ages is equally impressive.  The teen page offers links to advice and counseling, blogging information, and college planning.

ALA Great Sites for Kids The American Library Association & Association for Library Services to Children
Both of these associations highly recommend these great sites to and for children.  Explore everything from Animal sites to Current Event sites to Reference Desk sites, while getting your homework done!

Kids.gov FirstGov for Kids
This web portal is maintained by the Federal Citizen Information Center.  Even the games are recommended by the federal government.  FirstGov features a state website page, a homework center, and government information on everything from fighting crime in the US to working for the CIA to managing the federal reserve.
Factmonster.com Fact Monster
Although this site is visually kid-friendly, choc full of facts, and has a really easy to use Reference Center, it does have a lot of ad clutter that can be quite distracting.  It is still a worthwhile site; the homework center, timeline and current event sections are very helpful.
