Once a month a librarian from the Matawan-Aberdeen Public Library visits the Matawan Aberdeen Middle School for "Lunch Bunch." During Lunch Bunch we talk about books, do a craft, and talk about upcoming events at the library. Students sign up ahead of time with the Media Specialist, Ms. Emili, to receive a pass to go to the media center for lunch that day.

Here's a link to an article about Lunch Bunch!

On May 22, 2012, the library hosted the first annual Matawan Aberdeen Middle School Art Show. Staff members coordinated with art teacher, Mr. Rod Stevens, to plan and organize the event. Mr. Stevens then selected students artwork to display. Those students that had their art displayed were invited, along with family and friends, to attend the event. Each student whose artwork was displayed received a certificate. Artwork remained on display until September for patrons to enjoy. The MAPL Staff look forward to hosting the second annual MAMS Art Show in the Spring of 2013. To learn more about how the MAMS Art Show came to be, check out this article on patch.com!
