Museum Pass Program
Enjoy a Day at the Museum on us!
You can reserve a pass as easily as you would register your
child for a library program, through our TixKeeper service
(or by calling or stopping by the library). Once reserved,
you check out a pass to one of the museums with your library
card, just like you would a book. Enjoy your visit with family
and friends and then return the pass to the Library. Complete

Garden State Discovery Museum

The Garden State Discovery Museum is a celebration of imagination for children ages infant through 10 years old. Grounds For Sculpture exhibits works by well-known and emerging contemporary sculptors in the museum buildings and landscaped sculpture park. Centrally located in Hamilton, New Jersey, and mid-way between New York City and Philadelphia, it is easily accessible via major highways and public rail systems. Open year-round, special exhibitions, programs, and events are scheduled for your education and enjoyment.

Museum Pass FAQ
How do I reserve a pass?
Make a reservation in person at the Library at the Circulation Desk, by telephone at 732-583-9100, or online.
Is there a charge to reserve a pass?
There is no charge to reserve the museum pass. If the pass is not returned ON TIME, a fine of $5.00 per day will be charged. If the pass is not returned or if it is stolen, lost, or damaged, the patron will be charged the cost of replacement. (See costs in museum information above.)
Who can reserve a pass?
You must have a Matawan Aberdeen Public Library card in good standing to place a reservation. The pass can only be reserved with an adult card. A pass cannot be reserved with a child's card. Only passes to one museum may be reserved at a time.
How many people are admitted to a museum per pass?
It depends on the pass. See details listed above.
How long may I keep a museum pass?
The passes go out on a three-day loan. The pass is picked up during regular business hours on day one (date of reservation), used on day two, and returned on day three. If the library is closed, the pass is due the next day the library is open.
Can I cancel my reservations?
Reservations can be cancelled. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the reservation date by calling the library or using the “My Passes” function on TixKeeper online.
Where do I pick up my pass?
The pass must be picked up at the Matawan Aberdeen Public Library at the Circulation Desk.
Do I need my library card to pick up the pass?
Yes, you MUST present the library card that you used when reserving the pass to pick it up.
Where do I return my pass?
The pass must be returned on or before its due date to the Circulation Desk (DO NOT PUT IN THE BOOKDROP).
