The Long Branch Free Public Library has worked tirelessly to make sure we have a place for each of our readers. Part of this is developing book clubs that allow our patrons to share their thoughts and insights with other patrons. Our book clubs are always accepting new members. Here is what we have to offer you:
Elberon Book Club: Meets the first Wednesday of every month at 7pm at the Elberon Branch (168 Lincoln Ave.). Books are fiction and cover a variety of themes. The club is currently moderated by Christine Crowder, who works in the Reference Department.
Non-Fiction Book Club: Meets the second Thursday of every month at 12:30pm at the Main Library (328 Broadway). Books are all non-fiction and cover a large range of subjects. The Club is currently moderated by Janet Birckhead, one of our librarians.
After Hours Book Club: Meets the fourth Friday of every month at 7pm at the Main Library. Books are both fiction and non-fiction and often suggested by the book club members. There is also a blog that members can participate in. The club is currently moderated by Kate Angelo, Outreach Coordinator.
Children’s Room Book Club: Meets the second Monday of every month at 6pm at the Main Library. Children ages 9-11 can bolster their reading abilities and get to take part in a club of their very own. The club is currently moderated by Kathleen (Miss Kathy) Chapman of the Children’s Department.
If you have questions about any of these clubs please call the appropriate moderator at 732-222-3900, or visit our website: http://www.lmxac.org/longbranch.
