Director’s Report

December 2006

This brief update summarizes activities since the end of November.

MURAL Bookmark

I am getting quotes for printing of an updated MURAL bookmark. This was requested at a recent LMX meeting.

Audit

The audit has been completed and is on its way to us. I have not yet received it.

E-Rate

The application process for 2007-2008 has begun. The Board will be asked to approve new 3 year telecommunications contracts based on bids received by December 26^th.

ListenNJ

The selection process for 2007 is underway and will be finalized by December 18^th. ListenNJ committee members are helping to select the titles to be purchased on behalf of LMxAC this year.

Job Descriptions

I have started a process of asking staff to update their job descriptions. As the updates are completed I will be meeting with staff to finalize the new job descriptions and set specific goals for the next six months.

Software Upgrades and Enhancements

Plans for the upgrade are proceeding as scheduled. Ann and her staff are working very hard to assure that the upgrade goes as smoothly as possible.

Activity Report

In November we made 23 troubleshooting visits to 18 different libraries. Other measures of activity include:
